How Bulk Fueling ranks distributors
A search opens on Best rated. Verified listings come first, then the higher review average, then the review score on the listing. Nearest, Recommended, and Name are the other orders. Recommended is the method below: the distributor covers the point, sells the fuel, and the closer, stronger listing ranks higher. Half that score is distance. Half is quality. Featured labels stay above the list and out of every numbered order.

Distance
At the ZIP, distance scores 100. At 70 miles it scores 37. At 140 miles it scores 14. Closer helps. It does not decide the list alone.
Quality
- Review score, up to 40 points, set by Bulk Fueling when the listing is edited.
- Completeness, up to 20 points, from phone, description, hours, fuels, website, and minimum drop.
- Verified, 15 points, after the company claims the listing and the name, phone, and coverage are checked.
- Response, up to 15 points, after at least 3 quotes are marked contacted.
- Equipment match, up to 10 points. Heavy-haul searches reward wet hose and after-hours. Other searches reward a tank wagon.
Coverage
A distributor covers a point when the miles fall inside the service radius, when the home city matches, or when they list that city or the whole state. The maximum radius is 500 miles. A circle does not know about mountains, ferries, or islands. Listed places are how a distributor covers a spot the circle gets wrong.
Featured labels
A featured distributor appears in a labeled strip and is left out of the numbered list. The label is a placement. It is not added to the score, and it cannot make a company number one.
Questions
Can a distributor pay to be number one?
No. Featured is a paid label shown above the list. The numbered list leaves those listings out, so a payment cannot set the order.
How does a business get on Bulk Fueling?
Bulk Fueling adds the listing, or the business submits a claim. A claim stays pending until it is approved. Then the business sets a password and edits its profile.
What happens when I request a quote?
Bulk Fueling saves the request, then emails that distributor with your email as the reply-to address. The lead stays in their account if the email is delayed.
Does the radius guarantee a delivery?
No. The circle is a coverage claim, plus any cities or states they list. Roads, islands, minimum drops, and supply still decide the real answer. The quote is how you ask.
